There is a “right time” to buy certain consumer items
As crazy as it may seem, it matters when you buy certain items. Did you just buy gas at 11am on Thursday? You just spent too much. Did you buy a new shirt on Monday? You spent too much. Crazy, huh?
Here’s a simple list of items and when to buy them.
1. Fill your gas tank before 10am on Thursday
2. Final pricing at the Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic ends in 7. The final clearance price wouldn’t be $4.99. It would be $3.97
3. Summer is good time to buy closeout models on computers
4. Furniture is priced the best in January and July
5. Best time to buy clothes? Wednesday and Thursday
6. Dine out on Tuesdays for the best deals
7. Last day of the month is the best day to buy a new home
8. Best day to buy wine? Everyday
9. Cheapest day to fly: Wednesday

The best time to visit the Orlando area is in May and October. The winter tourists are gone by the end of April, and the summer tourists are gone by Labor Day. (I’ve been to Disney and Universal Studios plenty of times when there were little or no lines.)
Prices at Sam’s Club ending in “1″ are below their cost.
Target’s clearance schedule is something to keep in mind. They break it down by department. Varies by store but this is the most accurate list I’ve seen:
